full story . Had an s2k like all you guys. I came from a heavily modded ep3. I wanted to keep things simple. Did boltons and wasn't happy. I sold the s2k. Bought the evo. Very happy with the power for simple boltons. I needed a reliable DD. I have an rsx-s for dd. I got a new job that requires me to drive out of town. About 25 mins to get to work. I wanted an awd car .

I went to the dealer to initially buy a 2017 sti. The day I go to buy it , they sold it already . The sales man tells me all the benefits of the new wrx. Twin scroll turbo etc etc. I bought a fully loaded one. About 2 months later they get a 2018 white sti with the recaros package . I test drove it and fell in love . I loved driving the STI. But it didn't make sense for me to trade the wrx. They end up selling the sti. Fast forward to now. I drove by the dealership and they had another white sti. I remembered how much I enjoyed it and white was the only color i wanted . So this time i jumped on it. Was it smart? Nope. I lost alot on the trade in, but I wanted it since I drove it.

the sti cost me a little over 35k. It was stickered for 37,063

I test drove a 2018 wrx and was left unimpressed, it barely felt any faster than my old 9th gen civic si - salesman kept telling me during the drive "you just gota tune in like stage2 it'll feel as quick as a stock mustang", needles to say that sales pitch didn't work on me, all I did was nodded at the stupidity of his comment ,yea let me go throw away the warranty on my new 30k car.

then I drove a 17 STi and it felt way better, not sure if its the gearing or the extra power but it felt like different animal.
