Insuring multiple cars

You gotta shop it around. I just had my first renewal come up since buying the 911 back in February. With the 4 cars we have now, Allstate was saying $2800+ for 6 months. This is S Florida, we're 40//41 years old, 200k/500k limits, comprehensive/collision, and uninsured motorist coverage. So I hit all the major companies, putting in the 4 cars and the same coverage levels to get quotes. The highest I saw was GEICO at $3400 per 6 mos. The lowest was Progressive at just over $1500 per 6 mos. Yup, the highest quote was more than DOUBLE the best one I received. Guess which one I switched to, lol...
Am I saying Progressive is the answer for everyone? Absolutely not. Every zip code is different with every company. You gotta do the legwork and see who has the right combo for your cars, coverage, location, and age.

Insane.
I am bitching about paying $140 a month on two cars, and having to add another $50 per month for a third.
Partly complaining because license tabs are so high here. In neighboring Wisconsin it is about a $35 a year flat fee per car. I have two 5 year old cars (the fees go down with depreciation) and I still pay nearly $1000 per year for the two cars.

I feel the same way, but Progressive doesn't know how I drive. Every time I price insurance, progressive is by far the cheapest. They have always been quick to process claims (no accidents, but claims for hail damage and hitting animals were quick and painless). I pay less than $100/month on a 15 C7Z and $55/month on a 16 Ram 2500 with full coverage and maximum limits. Location makes a big difference, but so does the actual vehicle. I cross shopped a GTR when buying the z06 and it was going to be over $500/month for insurance!

Location - Orange County, California.
Insurance Company - AAA
Combo plan:
-House
-'06 S2000 - ~ 3000 miles/yr
-'15 Impreza 5-door 2.0 - ~ 8000 miles/yr
-$1738/yr total (paid as a lump sum) - ~$144.83/month
It helps that I live 2.5 miles from work.
