. . . or a primary car for many many people. Renault has a $5K Euro-beater in the works, Toyota has released the xA and xB, and there's probably only nominal testing needed for Volkswagen to release the Polo here.

In a country with a crap public transporation system, the U.S. the perfect market for a cheap but reliable vehicle. Honda already has one, so if the shoe fits. . .

I'd get one without hesitation as a second vehicle.

As far as tuning is concerned - Spoon has already created quite a mini-beast with one (there's a thread about that somewhere around here).

Yeah seriously, who really cares about the Fit.
The Civics nowadays are not as cheap as they were a long time ago. The new Civics are bigger than the old Accords, and cost about $15k for the low end model. Remember when Civics were like $8000 (yea yea, inflation, whatever)? The Accords are growing. The Civics are growing. So, there's a new slot for a cheap Honda! The Fit supposedly gets better fuel economy than the Civics out now.

And yea, the main target is the same group of people interested in the Scion xA and xB, which made Toyota TONS of money. Honda's not stupid! They'll gonna jump in while that niche is still hot.

Wow, what a coincidence! I was at the Spoon garage yesterday, and I saw it in person!! Not sure how fast it is though, haha. However, if they worked their magic on it like they did on the Integra, then it shoudl be quite fast.

[QUOTE=The Hoth,Jul 20 2005, 05:53 AM] Slightly off topic:

It is from the same website...

"........Honda will continue its testing efforts for HondaJet which improves fuel efficiency by 40% compared to existing aircrafts in its class by combining excellent aerodynamic performance with the high fuel efficiency of Honda

It's Yaris.
I own a 2005 Echo Hatchback RS here in Canada. It's a great little car.
Here are 2 pics of it.

I assume King Motorsports will begin importing Fit parts after the car arrives in North America.

I wonder how insurance will be on those things as well as resale value.
