Default Jetstream Blue C6 and Laguna/Bermuda Blue S2k

My friend Steve dropped by with his 2008 Jetstream blue C6.Its interesting to see the 2 cars side by side.I took him for a ride in my Kraftwerk supercharged 06' . He was truly amazed and thought it was quicker than his C6 but after riding in both cars we determined they were very close. He was really admiring the S2000 and had never really checked one out.I must say the fit and finish on his 08' c6 was perfect and the newer interior was a nice improvement from my 05' C6 coupe. We then took a fast run up Buck Creek road to Highlands. We only encountered 1 vehicle (which we both passed) on our 10 mile run.Beautiful winding road that climbs to 4100' from my homes 2300' elevation. It was a really fun day and nice to be with another car fanatic,we both have mutual respect and admiration for each others cars.

Hm, I always thought a Kraftwerks s2k would outrun a C6. Beautiful cars.

Awesome cars!
I like the Jetstream Blue color!
I'd be interested in how those cars compare to each other.

How's the acceleration on the KW SC'd S?
I'd think it has less torque than the LS3, but then it's lighter and has similar WHP numbers.
It'll be interesting to see the track results.

Thanks for sharing the photos!

Jetsream Blue is really a show car color.Almost candy apple in its changing hues.Steve's car is a 3lt z51 with the npp exhaust with the mild/wild switch (really cool).
The Vette is a much smoother ride yet very capable on the tight turns, felt solid as a rock.We took turns driving the only straight by my house and both cars reached speeds of about 75mph before we had to brake. The S2k seems to launch quicker due to its short gearing, the vette does almost 60 in 1st gear (as you know) so its not quite as impressive a feeling off the line as the Supercharged S2k.I think they would be pretty even to about a 100 but then the torque and aerodynamics of the Vette would take over. When doing our run up Bucks Creek road I never found Steve climbing up my butt but I never lost him. There was one straight where I got up to 90 before braking and we were dead even.Steve is a Fed Ex driver and his license is his work so he is very cautious.Overall I am very happy with the acceleration of the S2000 now.I did notice how much tougher it was for Steve to shift and his clutch was not nearly as smooth as mine. You still have to shift more with the S2k to be in the sweet spot but in no way would a stock C6 run away from me on a straight away now.Sorry could not take any vids this time since we had no passengers and to be honest we were really having too much fun to care.To be objective the vette is a car that screams sexy look at me and something I would be comfortable in for a long ride. The S2k feels more like a fun go kart but after 2 hours I've had enough. The Kraftwerks Supercharger puts the S2k on a performance level of a Stock C6 Vert IMO.
