I used to have a turbo ITR and a S/C GSR. A bunch of my friends still have turbo civics and tegs. All I have to say is that this scene has really developed in the last few years. My ITR was not nearly as civilized some of the stuff i drove yesterday and made less HP. First I drove my buddy's '94 civic coupe. It has a full interior with A/C and a stereo. He is running a hybrid engine, B16 bottom end with a B18C5 head, no power adders (turbo, S/C, NOS, etc) and it runs 12.7s in the 1/4 Then I drove Scott's LS integra. It's all stock internals. He is running a RevHard stage 2 turbo kit. That's it. He runs 12.5s all day. Day-uhm!! Then I drove tommy's Supra. I'm not gonna get into this car too much but as you can imagine it was REALLY fast. he runs mid 11's. the last car I drove was Mike's Civic Si. This was definantly the highlight of the night. He is fully built. he's got 11 grand invested into his car without the turbo. He is running a T44(i think?) turbo at 27 lbs. of boost on race gas. his last dyno run shows 424 wheel hp ! ! ! he runs mid 11s on slicks with a full interior. he's hoping to break low 11s to 11 flat this year after he gets rid of the interior and tries to fix some traction problems. Let me just say that this thing is a riot to drive on the streets. Traction is obviously the biggest issue so standing start races are a little difficult. I did get the opportunity to pull alongside a 2001 Z-06 that another buddy of mine has. above 50 mph it was absolutely no contest. the Z-06 didn't stand a chance. This damn civic is Mike's only car too. He street drives this thing everyday. To work, to get groceries, anywhere! It's nuts. What a night. I think I'm gonna start building the old CRX. I wanna run 11s too

Yep, now I have another money pit. I'll be building my CRX Si up now. I want turbo!! I love the fact that Honda makes stupid hp/liter without them but DAY-UHM turbos are fun to drive
