Default Kia Stinger

Looks like Kia has brought out its new sports sedan, what do you guys think about it? 3800 lbs, rear wheel drive with optional awd, turbo 4 cylinder or twin turbo V6 in a 5 door hatchback.

Some track reviews:

2018 Kia Stinger GT Track Drive Review - Motor Trend

MT gives it moderate praise, saying it feels solid, the rear end sticks like glue, it has a good transmission and it's predictable and decently quick. They call it a good alternative to a Chevy SS. Not as quick as the competition and definitely heavier but it's a bit of a bargain price when optioned the same.

Regardless of its place in history, the Stinger GT is simply a great sport sedan, and that’s something we can always get behind.
2018 Kia Stinger First Drive | Review | Car and Driver

C&D didn't have much to say, really - they commented that they were driving it at 10/10ths the whole time, following the lead driver, and really didn't have a lot of time or capacity to evaluate the car properly. Apparently it's decent at the track and that's all they can tell you.

As with most of Kia's product, they look ok on paper but when you cross shop with other cars, there is always something much better for the same money. And resale is beyond terrible when you come to your eventual buyers remorse.

If you are on a budget and don't want to keep it forever, the cheaper offerings from Kia/Hyundai make decent transportation, but if you are going to pay upscale dollar, you are better off somewhere else. Check out the resale on Genesis coupes for the near future of this car.

Looks like a 4 Series, A7, and Jag XE scaled and molded into a Kia... Kia offers a lot value of the money; should do well if customers are turning out to take a test drive.

They used to offer a lot for money but not anymore. Hyundai/Kia gotten expensive over last 5 years. We bought one(sonata) and regret every single day. Trade in/resale value is so cheap that we decided to keep it as back up car. Can has been out of dealership multiple times during warranty period and still needs repair after warranty.

Those cars are not really marketed as sports sedans any more as they are execu-boat luxury sedans. This one is telling you it is a sports car.

Kia's stated that their target market is the 3-Series / C-Class / A4, based on price.
