Default Lambos...all show?

After test driving different cars with my friend who has been looking at th f430, Gallardo, r8, etc., we've come to the conclusion that lambos are all show. They're gawdy and quite tacky. The Gallardo had power but there wasnt that thrill we got from driving say the 430, stradale or GT3/GT3RS. Those are true driver cars.
The lambos seem numb and bloated.

The only interesting thing were the stares, which is what I think lambo buyers really want. But even that gets old and with prices for these cars falling like bricks the attention doesnt really mean much anymore

The prices for these cars are falling like rocks with 04 gallardos in high 80s now and used Murcis in the 130K range.

I've got quite a bit of seat time in a 2002 Murcielago. It is certainly not lacking in thrills. I also drove a 550 Maranello, which was the competitor from Ferrari at the time. The 550 was much less of an "event" to drive. It wasn't as quick, it didn't sound as great, and it didn't get anywhere near the looks. It didn't deliver half the thrills of the Murcielago. Having said that, I felt more comfortable pushing the 550. The size of the Murcielago is more than a little intimidating.
