Default Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition

Last night I received an amazing text informing me that the owner of a Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition would be taking delivery today. So of course I found out where and decided to head over and take some pictures and video! This car is absolutely stunning, the pics and video dont do it justice. I hated LFA's when I saw pictures or videos of them. But in person its almost a different car. My mind was absolutely blown. Anyways, without further ado:

hopefully the mechanics didn't get their greedy little fingers on it and took it for a "break in" ride around the block like that black seriers mercedes.

Thanks for sharing that. I was not overly impressed with the photos during the LFA's development either. I was in downtown austin walking along the sidewalk and I heard a very special noise coming up from behind me. It was a white LFA. Its sound is unmistakable and although nothing seems extraordinary about it cosmetically, the overall proportions and stance is without a doubt Ferrari level (IMO). It's probably one of the best engineered cars ever built and it shows. So what does this thing do around the ring?

Is the owners name Dick by any chance and he is an older guy? He comes out to MAM a lot. He has had a few Z06's out there, a ZR1 and last time a GT-R which he didn't seem to like much. Now, someone told me he has a Zonda as well, but I cannot confirm that. I talked to him at length one time and he told me about his rags to riches story, pretty much. He said he has 15 or 16 cars and that he had a mechanic who lived on-site and did all the maintenance. Really, really nice humble guy. Its funny coz he is older and when he is outside the car, his hands are shaky and you don't think he could drive. Then he gets in and blazes the track. I saw him doing well with a z06. I would bet he would buy something like this...

7:14 - 4th fastest time for a production car according to wikipedia! Insane. Also, apparently the 50 lucky owners of this edition get training lessons by a professional at the Nurburgring and a 1 year pass to use the Nurburgring. Holy S%^T

And the owner is not named Dick from what I know.
This guy owns Lexus of Omaha.

The shop DS and area specialist are required to drive it as a "break in" ride in the two day PDI

Actually I was talking to the manager watching over the car. They were flying in a specialized technician from Chicago I want to say. Hes the one who has to do the initial start up and engine checks. As far as driving it for a break in I am completely unaware of. Whoever does a break-in drive, if in fact there is one, is more likely someone that needs to make a special trip out to do so. I'm sure they don't just trust anyone to handle a $450,000 car.
