Funny thing is all the previous generation bimmers were also designed under Bangle and most people are clueless.
Who was the chief designer when the Z4, E60 5 series, and E65 7 series were developed? Chris Bangle.
Who was the chief designer when the E36 3 series, E46 3-series, E39 5-series, Z8, Z3 were developed? Yep. Chris Bangle.
He had been the chief designer since 1991 until he got promoted in '04.
Unless the 7-series you saw was a 20-year old E32, it was most likely DURING BNGL.

i have just one question? when did bangle's drug use start? because from 05 to present, bimmers look like someone on acid or PCP designed them.

Still stuck in the past..huh. Your sadly mistaken if you think the Quandt family wouldnt have Bangle on the first flight to Ohio if it wasnt in the best interest of their company. Even he admits his designs arent photogenic. It is quite laugable at how many cars are following in his footsteps.

Well although its true that you can see bangle butt variations in the newer cars (say new accord/camry/etc.), you have to admit that that run of BMW was ugly as cornfed cows!
there is no doubt about it. Maybe he got abducted halfway through his career by an alien.

Even if Bangle was running things, I believe the whole "flame surfacing" thing that draws all the ire was his personal baby. One of the older generation cars you list is the Z8 which was clearly the doing of Henrik Fisker, even if he was reporting to Bangle.

in college, about 8 years ago, there was a Corvair near school that had "F Nader"
Unless the guys name was Frank Nader, I thought it was pretty funny!
(for those that don't get it, google "Unsafe At Any Speed"
