Ignorance just kills me. "Crazy fast"?? C'mon.
I am a big believe in the adage, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and opinions are truly like a$$h*les, but it just irks me that people cannot simply be pro-S2000 alternative, they have to make uninformed and generally retarded comments about a vehicle which they know nothing about... just because they perceive it to be competition for their favored model.
What's really amusing is that I was enjoying my S2000, turning heads, and beating GMs 6 freakin' years ago when a GM roadster was nothing more than a twinkle in some guy's eye. Whatever.
I have no intention of street racing Skys, but I will be very interested in seeing how these vehicles stack up on a race-track.

Big deal. So he chose a Sky over the S2000. Like that's never happened before?
His comments were purely subjective, even if they are wrong in reality. For example, I think the S2000 is much more "manly" than the MX-5. He doesn't; So what? The Sky splits the diff IMO.
And how is what he said any more extreme or banal than say, a middle-aged woman buying the S2000 because it's a "cute" roadster? Trust me, this has happened MANY times.
Concerning the E-thug pic, you could photoshop in an Integra or Civic and change "domestic" to "import" and it'd still be accurate.

GM will be GM so he will have his hands full with the Sky.
The Miata is way better regardless, in almost every category against the Sky so that clown should stick to comparing the Sky vs Miata.
When it comes to the S2k vs Miata vs Sky, no comparision there either, different class, people should stick to comparisions within the same class.

I saw this thread and I had to add my .02 cents.
People say that the S2000 is overpriced and lacks power compared to a Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstice (REDLINE or whatever high performance version comes out), but who has the overall better package?
The S2000, in my opinion, has a far superior engine, superior suspension, and the soul of Honda's racing heritage everytime you pass 6200 rpms. Will the Sky/Solstice give you that same sense of placebo effect? If you know anything about cars or a true enthusiast about racing, then the answer is no.
I don't know about you, but I don't buy a car based on "look" or "attention whore" characteristics. I buy a car to see which gives me the biggest grin and satisfaction.
