Default M5 or C32 AMG?

I might be buying a new car this year and would like to know which car would be in my best intrest? Both cars would be early 2000-2003. I would like to no the pros and cons of each car if you have owned one. All info would be great since asking on a Mercedes forum or BMW forum you only get one answer.

I don't know as much about both as I'd like, but between the two, I'd take the M5 as well.

The difference between the prices is a tremendous. The M3 would be comparable to the C32 AMG. It still depends on what you want out of the car. The M3& M5 both provide more fun without losing too much on comfort. The C32 AMG has always been last in any comparison for this type of car. Go with the BMW.

I'd say go with the C32 AMG, being the body-style isn't as dated as the E39 M5.

dated body? that might be one reason (maybe the only) to get the c32. But you could argue against this as the C-class is about to be replaced.

In any case, the M5 has, what I consider, a classic style. And overall driving, I've spent a fair amount in both, I'd take the M5 hands down.
