Default Mazda RX7 Successor.

I personally like the styling... Hopefully the stats compliment the projected $100k price.

Thoughts?

It looks OK. I like rotaries. I like Mazda. But you HAVE to be sub $70,000 to even have a prayer of selling any.

The profile looks like an exaggerated Z4.

Why does it need all that hood? Those rotaries are tiny. Reminds me of the AMG GT.

I hate when websites & magazines come up with some random rendering that has nothing to do with the actual manufacturer. There's no point debating the styling of something a guy at a website came up with on Photoshop. The only lead we have on actual styling direction from Mazda is the RX-Vision Concept:

It'd better be a 4 rotor with a hood like that!

Wow, 4 rotors. Just imagine the braaaap.

Maybe it's for a separate oil reservoir for combustion

The projected price is in Australian dollars, which would be roughly $76500 in today's rate.
Way too much for a Mazda.

Well it did say it would be "less" than $100,000 AUD but does not say how much less. If it is fast and comes loaded I could see $60k US being fair for some, but more than that is a tough sell with the Cayman and 4C, Vette, GT 350, etc.

I've seen a picture or a variation of that picture floating around for about 10 years now.
