Default Minivan or Mid Size SUV or hybrid?

Next year I will be in the market for a 'pre-owned' (money is a factor) midsize SUV or a minivan. I have two small children. I have my s2k ap1 and my wife has a kia sorrento that fits us and the kids okay. It has a folding third row but not much trunk space. In fact if the third row is opened there is no trunk space. I love honda's. That's the only reason I'm leaning toward an 2012-2014 odyssey. I also like the pilot's but then I would have the same issue as my wife's car. I also like the toyota Sienna. Does anyone have an advice or suggestions for my dilemma?

Minivan. I say this as someone who just bought a midsize-ish SUV. If you can stomach being a minivan owner, get an Odyssey.

I actually love minivans. They have way more space than most suvs. The ride is lower and a little more comfortable. Leg room is great. You can use it for the family and hanging with the fellas. Very practical.

Don't knock it until you try it.

I'd look at something like a 2011-2013 Durango R/T.

If you need more trunk space with the third row up, I'd look at a minivan (shiver) or a full size SUV like a Suburban.

^I second this? Surprisingly well made and drives nicely as well.

Also, you have 2 kids. A minivan or 3 row SUV is overkill. Nobody needs that.

I'm not a fan of Mini vans at all. Even though they are a great budget choice I just dislike them greatly!

I picked up a new MDX last fall and love it. You can find a used 12-13 for a good deal. Having the 3rd row I really like. It is small back there but great for kids if you have extra adults in the 2nd row seats.

Odyssey or Sienna - both are great and it really comes down to which one you prefer.
