I think the convertible mini's are now the car of choice.
Every time I see a convertible mini I'm amused that they paid as much as an S2k.... for that.

I would definitely believe women drive Eclipses more than men now, what with the J.Lo ass it has on it.
I like how that story says men prefer power, but women prefer style. Uh, if men are buying overt, sexual cars (as vader1 points out), and women "prefer style", doesn't that mean both sexes prefer something that makes them look more appealing than they feel they otherwise are?
The only real difference is mens' style cars happen to have more power than womens' style cars, but they both prefer something that inflates the ego.

I JUST got out of an eclipse and into my S. My 147 hp 2.4L may have been a dog, but it DID have more torque It got me around town and I felt very fortunate to have a "new" car, but as time passed I started to hate that car with every ounce of my being. After that eclipse and a 3000GT before it, never ever Mitsu again. (well, we'll see how Evo X is)

As usual with these stories, they never bother to differentiate between different configurations of the cars they mention. For example, regarding the Eclipse, I'd be willing to bet that women are buying the 4 cylinder and men are buying the 6 cylinder. Likewise with the TT. I also doubt that many women are buying the turbo version of the Beetle.

Whether it is a girls car or not is just dumb... Who makes this shit up? The list for men price cars no less than 40,000. I'm sorry but I would rather have an Eclipse than having an 800-900 dollar payment. Of course every car is "cute" to girls and awesome to guys.
It's like colors... Pink, appeals more to women more, but guys like myself still tend to wear pink. Same with red, blue, or black, they appeal more to guys but women still tend to wear it. Same with food, shoes and everything else, nothing can be femine based because there is ALWAYS going to be a percentage of males that like what females like.

I'm very suprised there were no friggen SUVs on the girls most popular list. I can't count how many BIG ASS SUVs I see being driven by little tiny women. I guess you need a giant Armada or an expedition to bring little johnny to and from school?
