fits like shit

He paid 3 Gs for this RUF bumper that was custom ordered and made, and the body shop is going to have to cut a bunch of stuff and really work the bumper to get it to fit.

I'd just like to take the time to acknowledge the brilliant fitment from my extreme dimensions J's style front bumper and Seibon MG style hood

Update: Got out of the shop today, the wonders of Body shops

3 different shades of white?

$3k? "....."

Before the body shop cuts things up, did your friend at least call RUF and confirm it was the correct part? RUF isn't some fly by night operation.

Looks like the right part.

I would definitely send it back. RUF is known for quality parts and that bumper should fit a lot better than that. Even the best typically require a little bit of work but that is ridiculous.

Retail is $1899 from RUF, per my research ( http://www.babblers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10248 ), so he overpaid badly to boot...

Why would anyone spend that kind of money on a 986? No matter what you do to it, it still has ugly headlights and a fragile engine.

Why not just return it? Had to do the same with a body kit I bought for the Celica that didn't fit. Yeah, still got shafted on the shipping...but at least they had to refund me for the kit itself.
