Default My new GT daily driver

So a while back I made a post looking for advice on how best to spend 50k on a daily driven grand tourer. You can read it here. I mulled over all of the options available and recommended and could never quite pull the trigger on any of them. The Jaguar, as the front runner, seemed like the sure thing but lacked a manual gearbox. The Lexus was almost immediately ruled out as the most soulless of the lot. The M6, while certainly appealing with it's V10 heart, soaring redline, and available (but rare) 6MT, seemed to check all of the boxes but the looming threat of a catastrophic failure seemed burdensome for a daily driver. I tossed around the idea of another Challenger, in Hellcat trim, but decided against it as the car attracts too much attention. The overwhelming majority of which being undesirable. Most upsetting of all, they all lacked the je ne sais quoi I sought. It was time to throw the baby out with the bathwater and start anew. I broadened my search to classic cars and coupes that could loosely be called GT cars.

By chance I stumbled upon a 2 owner, always garaged, low mileage e24 shark nose. Alpine White exterior with Cardinalrot (Cardinal Red) interior. The icing on the cake: She was born the same year as her new owner. Her name is Imogen:

I drove a similar car around Switzerland years ago. Still one of BMW's greatest looking cars. Easy to tick the miles away, but definitely feels like a car from the 80's. Very nice. Are those the Euro bumpers.

Gorgeous car!

I had a csi in Arctic blue - great car but it handled like a Mustang around corners with lurid pitch and oversteer.

Loved the profile and frameless windows.

Thanks guys! Defintely loving this car, almost more than the S2000.

Front is currently Euro spec, back is diving board but the rear euro spec bumper came with the car. No idea why the previous owner didn't do both at the same time.
