Default MY search for a new DD

Well I have been searching for a new car in a low price range that is somewhat decent.

Today i checked out a V6 5spd Mazda6. All leather, power seats, heated seats, owner installed remote start up (clutch bypass) , and bluetooth. Car has steering wheel controls, and 50,000 miles.

The gears engaged easily no "clunk", and torque felt fantastic, not to mention the cam profile changes later in the RPM gauge which makes me remember my beloved S2k.

The only thing i disliked was the feel of the clutch pedal, engagement seemed "numb".

Anyway if we can negociate on price i think its a keeper.

Thoughts?

You were looking for a G35? (I know that thread probably didn't go as planned) But why not check out the tsx and accord v6 6 speed?

Also are you miata.net by any chance? That username looks familiar.

TSX and accord V6 are great but rather pricey without a ton of miles. Plus i can't seem to find to many accords with leather.

no not on miata.net

as far as the G35c goes i still think it looks great but the ones i found were a little beat up plus the they are sort of pricey as far as general things (tires, insurance etc). I think we should be able to express our opinions without acting like 19 year old boy-racers. / end rant

but does anyone have input on the mazda6, are they reliable. I wasn't sure about the tranny quality so im glad its manual.

I see some pretty good deals on TSX's...you can pick up one with 30K miles or less in the upper teens which is hard to beat IMO. Very comfortable with a nice stack of standard crap...only options really are nav and tranny and it's hard to find one that's not an automatic. I have an 07 6 speed TSX that has been my DD for about 2 years now and it's a great car. My only gripe is that I would like a little more go power but the K24 is willing and fairly rev happy mated to the 6 speed...other then that the car is fantastic.

I have to go to school, in the city, in the ghetto. So im looking to spend less than 10k because i know the car is going to get somewhat messed up.

If you find an Accord 6MT, leather is standard. 06+ is offered in coupe and sedan. Those are great cars, and relatively cheap since they are not really desirable in the general marketplace.
