I know the owner of that car ...or at least the original owner (don't know if he still owns it). He actually makes those hardtops (among many other aero modifications) for miata customers. It might look funny to a number of us, but it's quality stuff at the very least. The owner is actually one of the founders of BRS Autodesign which explains the widebody work.
