I had a '12 S4 that was stage 2 from the dealer (Stasis edition) that I owned for 3 years, fantastic car and very quick. I had no issues with mine for the 34k I put on it, just the brace on the Stasis exhaust kept breaking, didn't effect anything just rattled a bit, dealer kept "fixing" it but it kept breaking still. Mine was DSG and as it was my DD I preferred it that way.

There is an issue with some for carbon buildup which is an expensive fix, so I'd go for a CPO, or one that doesn't/hasn't had the issue, not all were affected.

I get Honda's are reliable, they're also rather boring. They just aren't making cars I want to own. We have a MDX in the driveway but the current boat they make with the MDX badge will not replace this. We're more likely to get a Jeep GC Diesel before we buy a Honda SUV.
