New Acura NSX - sales failure?
#41
There's currently not much on the market, but a few months ago there were a few at Audi dealers with <30k miles in nice, stock condition asking low-mid $80s.

If you think any corporation is "clean", you haven't worked long enough. They all do immoral or shady things (in the manufacturing sector, at least). When real money is on the line, they all bow to the financial pressure and try and minimize it.
A 981 Cayman is a gorgeous car - absolutely beautiful.

To me, peak Cayman was probably the 987 Cayman R. I drooled over this particular car when it was for sale, but it was WAY out of reach...damn Porsche tax.

Also, 50-60k was out of reach as a 2nd car at the time, I was looking for something about half as much.

New NSX for me. The old NSX... I’m over the car.
I loved the old NSX 10 years ago, now it’s literally car to stare at. Since I like driving my cars, I have no desire to own a paper weight. I also have no desire to invest in the NSX since I can make better money in other investments.

a much easier decision in Canada, a new NSX is well north of $200,000, a used old school NSX is $60,000 and up depending on the year. Dollar for dollar I'd take a used one first and pocket the loose change.
The problem with the new NSX is that my grandmother can drive it around any track in the exact same time as a professional driver just by activating all of the electronic gizmos, I think the old NSX would be more fun to drive on a track, for less money. I think the old NSX looks better / more exotic too.

Last we heard it was selling for around $500k USD so it's a hot car over there but extremely limited.
There will always be nice cars to have in the $200k+ realm but few that offer the reliability. We own both the 1st gen and 2nd gen NSX's here and both are great cars for it's own merits. More than holds it's own in any comparable cost in this range, The only one we'd grab the keys to drive cross-country.
