No the minute i hear "do it all" i hear, it's gonna be expensive lol

anyways id go for the GTI. The Evo and STI/WRX have some of the most disgusting interiors of any car. For me, the interior of my DD is one of the most important things. IMHO i couldn't have one as my DD.

Agreed.

I LOVED the cooper S. It's an awesome, fun little car. The Hatch makes it somewhat practical. Gr8 in the snow with those tiny wheels. Also gets amazing gas mileage. My sis avg. about 33-35 in her Base cooper. My friend in his Cooper S avg. about 30-31. & thats in NYC.

FWIW. As a dd, I had more fun with the apr gti than my 3 sti or 1 wrx I owned. The interior and fit and finish of the gti made the car much more livable than the subies. If you plan to track or drag with this car and don't mind the rattles and rawness, subies will be better.

If you can find an unmolested Evo IX/X in that price range...I would get one. Could be tough though.

Why do I feel like I've read this thread like 100 times before?

I'd go Evo X. I couldn't get an STI knowing the Evo exists. The Evo is just a better driver's car in every way. It also looks much, much better to me. Bonus is you can make a lot more power on the stock turbo/fuel in the Evo than you can in the Subaru. People hit 340+whp with just exhaust and tune. You need a turbo upgrade to do that in the STI. Also, don't they still have ringland issues? I know a chunk of those were due to the poor tune but I feel like those cars were still prone to failure even with a solid custom tune from mile 0.

I also like the Evo X, but the trunk is the same size as the S2000's. Have you looked into the Forester XT's?
