What do you want, Stack? A sweeping dashboard that creates a cockpit for the driver?

Is GM ever going to come up with a new dash design for Chevrolets that doesn't involve "Large cheap plastic rectangle in front of driver?
Regarding the trucks in the photos, they looks pretty darn sharp, I must say. GM has continued to perform well without reinventing their P/Us at every new iteration. The engines will likely continue to be best in class. The interiors are just rehashed from the SUVs, so no big deal, and no big surprise either.
IMO, GM is set to overtake Ford with its current and upcoming trucks. Their new GMT9000 (correct?) platform babies are selling at a rate I cannot fathom. I have seen so many of the new Tahoes, Escalades and Denalis, it's mind-boggling. Granted I'm in a big city, but even still, i think I feel like I've seen more GMT9000s in the last week than Accords or Camrys. Bad news for gas prices and the environment, but they seem to have reinvigorated interest in their trucks. It also helps that they seem to be the prettiest trucks on the road too. I personally love how they look.
IMO the F150 may have a nice interior, but the engines are underwhelming. Not that I'm even a truck guy, but I'd go GM and Nissan before anything else.

Eh, my dad just bought a new Ford truck, and in his opinion, the last few Ford 150s he's had were a more solid, sturdy design, even if the engines weren't the highest output. It's a nice truck either way, and either company sells engines that'll tear down the house. Who buys a truck based on looks, anyway?

[QUOTE=Chris Stack,Jul 31 2006, 01:14 PM] I think you got those reversed, I showed the Chevy dash.
My point was, they introduced this "must win" super-duper truck that is vital to GM's long term survival, and they put the same shitty ugly dash that was outdated in 1995 in it.
