Yeah, that would be a bit of an issue lol!

Well, the SRT was super clean so I pulled the trigger! Picking her up Wednesday, I'm very excited. Thursday I'm driving to Montreal and then to Vermont on Friday, so I'll have a good 14-15 hours of seat time by the time I'm home next Sunday.

Congratulations!! You will have a blast with it. I finally got a check engine light to stay on in mine with a cylinder 3 misfire code. To the dealer it goes next week. Will keep you updated.

^ Thanks guys!!

I put roughly 1000 miles on it going to Vermont and back, and loved every minute of it. Surprisingly decent fuel economy (with the intelligent cruise set at 80mph, I went about 315 miles on 3/4 of a tank, and saw an average as good as 13.5 l/100km (17.5 mpg), which isn't far off from my Tacoma). The power is definitely unlike my boosted S2k or STI, I love the torque. With 4 friends in the car we still managed a 4.7 0-60 lol.

Will be ordering a catch can very soon and getting a ceramic coating this spring. I'm trying to restrain myself from modding it immediately, but next year I'll probably do mopar springs, Borla S-type exhaust, and a set of bronze 22" Hellcat replica wheels.

Any update on this? Just curious as to what the ultimate diagnosis is....

That is awesome that you are facing a blast with it! My Jeep is still at the dealer being repaired but ultimately it was the lifters and cam shaft tHat needed replacing as well a new water pump and all new gaskets. Once I get her back I will know how good the repairs have been. They said it should be done today or tommorrow so will see.

Well good news and bad news, I just got my Jeep and I must have had issues for a while because now this thing drives pretty dang fast and it seems throatier. Bad news is when I reached home I can smell a burning smell of coolant and you can see some smoke coming out of the engine bay. So I am taking it back to the dealer to see what it is. My gut feeling is that they may have spilt coolant as I can see some wet spots but rather be safe. They did extend the warranty for 2 years and unlimited miles for the work. Btw he said if I had to pay out of pocket it probably would have cost me $6-7k for the work. Ouch

Wow, that is rough. Hopefully the next fix is the last...

At least when everything is done you should hopefully be good for a LONG time

I ended up taking it in today and the tech went over it and no leaks, he said he had spilt some coolant when ding it and didn’t clean it very good. So he cleaned it all up today and now no smell or burning. So all is well now!

Glad they took care of you. I'm really impressed with both the 6.4 and the 6.2SC motors from Dodge. Very strong. I've now tracked both and SRT built them to be beat on.

Ya they are pretty stout. I am more surprised that Jeep didn’t fight me on repairing the engine and they got it done within a week. It took GM 4 months to figure out what to do with my Cadillac and they still never repaired it correctly.
