The new Honda Civic Type R (World Market version)

Well I had an 11 sec evo a few years back. It was never driven in the snow, I didn't want to screw up the front splitter. Cars that cost over 30k I still want to keep nice an clean for trade or resale so no off road/snow plowing.
Personally I wouldn't drive any of these hot hatches anymore. I'm way to old, looking foolish speeding around in some teenage car.

It bothers me that some teenagers can afford older S2000s (or really, just that they drive them and modify them in damaging ways). Ugh.
As far as the CTR and other hot hatches, I think labeling them as "teenage" cars is silly. I also think letting what other people think dictate what you drive is silly.

I had the opportunity to watch a R at Gingerman on the track over the weekend during Hondameet's VTEC club time attack sessions.
The car is really balanced. We watched the car come out of turn 11(long straight that has a nice right hand slight camber corner).
All the FWD cars were kind of drifting into the turn where the R took it like a RWD car.
The car was stock besides some RE71's and new rims. It was super quiet. Lol. Not sure what it ran, but it was not a slouch at all.
Cant wait to see what the tuners do to it

Road & Track did a test with the 370Z and the STI.
Clash of Clans: 2017 Type R vs 2018 370Z vs 2018 STI
I'll leave these quotes here:
Track times, in the damp/wet (!!):
Clash of Clans: 2017 Type R vs 2018 370Z vs 2018 STI
I'll leave these quotes here:
However, the day belongs to the Type R. “This car squashes dead all front-wheel-drive nay-saying,” Kinard opines. “It’s just the tightest, cleanest, simplest, easiest arc through every corner.”
Zenlea has praise for the tight gearbox and quick steering. “Those old, sweet Honda qualities keep you engaged even when you’re not pushing to ten-tenths.”

Morning rain has dampened the track, a traction penalty that should favor the STI over both the 370Z and the Type R. However, J.F.’s lap times set the podium order the same way the road did. The Honda laps the small track nearly three seconds quicker than the Subaru, five quicker than the Nissan.
For me, the conclusion is even simpler. The Type R feels and is faster than its rivals. Whenever it leads the pack, it gaps the other two cars easily. In the wilderness of Quebec, the mighty Honda draws first blood.

Congrats on the new car. It looks its best in the white, the bold blue, and the charcoal.
I love all the superlatives the car gets and the price. Still have to get over the wing. I want to see the first pics of someone who tosses the big wing and swaps it for the one on the Si or some smaller aftermarket.
