New Honda Prelude?
Hello all, Ok so I was at the dealer getting my CR-V serviced. So I went outside to view the new Accords, and as I was wondering why they stopped making the coupe the sales manger walked by and I asked that very question. He pulled me to the side and said the rumor is the reason they stopped making the Accord coupes is because the Prelude is on its way back! Has anyone else heard about this?

My first car was a Prelude and I would welcome a return, but........
A simple google search brings up nothing from any reputable source. Sure there are photoshops from clickbait factories, but nothing from ANY of the major auto mags.

I'd love to see a return of the Prelude, but I'd guess it's more wishful thinking from the manager. Since the Civic coupe has grown in size so much it's basically the Accord coupe now.

I doubt a new Prelude would sell, very few people are buying FWD sporty coupes anymore, plus the Prelude was priced above Accords due to emerging performance technologies being installed on them as essentially proof of concept.

I doubt it. I read somewhere Honda discontinued the accord coupe because lack of sales and the new 2018 accords already have coupe like profile. Also the rise of SUV made less sense for Honda to have another car to compete with sedan sales.
Nissan discontinued the Altima coupe and Toyota abandoned long ago the Camry coupe(Solara).
