New King of the ring
sorry if this is a repost. it just hit autoblog today. holy f. :eek3:
http://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/23/lord-of...burgring-barri/ makes you realize how ghey the other manufacturers are for bragging about their ring times. |
I think it would be embarrassing for Ferrari if they could not break that 7 second barrier given the specs of that car...
|
holy f indeed...
|
too bad it's not a production street car

From what I can tell on my crappy computer speakers, that thing sounds better than anything I can think of.
Dude. 6:58. That is so much faster than...everything. I have to say that is the only ring video I've seen from the cockpit that really gave me a sense of how insanely fast it was going. |
Is that car even street-legal? If not, then I'm sure there are plenty of factory race/track cars that can break the 7-min mark too.
Edit: after having read the comments, it's a stripped-down race/track car while wearing slicks. Someone even mentioned it's not race-legal in a GT class either because of its 700hp, exceeding the allowable power. |

Race car w/racing tires will blow away any street car w/street tires (GTR ZR1 debate). It's not that amazing. |
Not really impressed. It's not street legal. Now if the 599 GTO put up a time anywhere close to that, I'd be impressed.
