NSX news...well......read on

I see your reasoning now. I equate "a new exotic high performance car" to the NSX. If the name changes, it's still the new NSX. Much like the RSX and the Integra (though it's still the Integra in other continents). Same model, just new name, new components, etc, etc...

"We are committed to having an ultrahigh-performance vehicle in the Acura lineup in the future," said John Mendel, senior vice president of automobile operations for Honda's U.S. unit. "It's too early to comment on specifics, but the all-new model will be just as groundbreaking as the 1991 NSX."
My favorite part of that is "just as groundbreaking as the original"
Holy SHIT is all I have to say, the new NSX will need alot of cajones to fill its predecessor's shoes in terms of ground breaking.
I dont know about anyone else, but if they are referring to how groundbreaking it was in 1991, well, lets see what they'll have to do :
Now and What should be:
Old : All Aluminium body New: Totally carbonfiber body
Old: 90hp per liter New: Over 120 per liter
Old: First V-TEC New: Hydraulic valves or some Vtec-2 thing
Old: First titanium con-rods New: Some god material con-rods? I dunno
Old: New Painting Techniques New: Somehow make a sicker paint
God, theres so many firsts, I beleive honda had ATLEAST 100 original patents on the car - (im not sure about what I had listed above, but thats whats generally accepeted)
Lets not forget the bargain price for the performance - theres so many great things about this car, lets just hope the next is better
Forgot to mention how crazy I was, this probably would never happen and Honda would lose even more money on this, but I was just going crazy with my imagination To be more ground breaking than the original....

Honda still seems to be resolutely resisting a V8.
So, it seems the NSX will be forever limited to about a 3.5 liter displacement.

According to the press release, "Honda is working on the successor of its NSX.....".
A successor of NSX does not necessary equal to a new NSX. It can be called ASX, 123 or....whatever.
Only a new NSX equals to a new NSX. So far, I have not seen any reference in Honda's press releases mentioning Honda is working on a "New NSX".
I hope I am wrong and you are right though.
