NSX takes first place in R&T PCOTY
I just got the latest issue of Road & Track with the Performance Car of the Year article. The NSX was their choice for number 1 in a nine car field. Second and third were the Corvette Grandsport and the Evora 400. The NSX was the most expensive car in the batch. The 'Vette was the least expensive and the Evora was the third least expensive.
Road & Track Performance Car of the Year 2017 - Road & Track
PCOTY is an interesting contest as the choice is made by popular vote and there does not seem to be any formula involved at all. So you don't know if any of the editors were giving any weight at all for the value proposition.

I read it too and i have a new appreciation for the NSX...But...they will only include cars that are new or have had a significant model change. why can't a car that hasn't been updated recently still compete? maybe a model of a current generation without changes enough to qualify could still win?
anyway, I liked the evora best in the shootout. but that's my armchair argument.

It is a terrific car.
I have had mine for almost 2 months and I have a blast with it every time I take it out.
Teen age boys become bobble heads when I go by on the street.
It is very popular at work too.
I have gotten a few meeting requests (i.e. requests for a ride) and the VP for my area gave me a big thumbs up when he drove by in his Boxster.
I totally get that Honda should have produced a higher volume car to cover the vacant S2000 space.
But at least they gave a us a really good car in the new NSX and filled that 11 year old gap.

Didn't see the thread. I'm surprised you posted it, everyone discussed it, and it fell to the second or third page before my copy even arrived. I posted the thread the day after it arrived at my house. I guess it was up on the web site weeks before it was mailed out.

That's crazy, the car needs like 3 floor mats tops, not 1,500 of them. ;-)
