Sorry to hear it. This is one of the main reason I won't by a GM product. I know their corporate culture would rather their customers die then do the right thing. It doesn't surprise me they don't care about your experience with them.

That is crap. Do you at least have a loaner for now? I'm pretty sure this meets the requirements for # of days in the shop for a lemon. I would do that and move on. Sad that GM is now making some excellent cars but still doesn't stand behind them.

Just got off the phone with the BBB, as soon as I send my paper work to them they will open a case to get them to start the process. I do have a loaner another Silverado lol. I think I have spent more time in a truck than the car.

just lemon law it. So we are clear BBB has no legal teeth. I actually know that BBB is near criminal in the damages they have done to businesses who don’t want to pay them anymore.

you have an option, lemon law and move on. Do it.

This is who GM told me to contact to lemon it. Unless I need to go through an attorney. Never done this before so not sure. Any recommendations? I have also filed a complaint with the state Attorney Generals office as well.

When I was looking for a lawyer for guidance on an issue I had with a dealership (coincidentally, a Chevy one), I noticed there were lawyers you could request specifically for lemon law cases.

The fact that lawyers have that as a category, means it must be a pain in the ass enough to warrant needing a lawyer! Ugh.

Doesn't hurt to call a reputable lawyer up for a free consultation to get their take on the situation.

Another thought too is if you can document this entire process and report it to social media or new outlets perhaps it will garner more attention and maybe the higher ups at GM will take notice and help you get into a new car. Once you get lawyers involved in legal process it will take forever. Best of luck to you.

Booklet
for Texas lemon law procedure. It will ask you if you wish to open PDF brochure. It looks like a long process. Good luck.

Well finally got word from GM and BBB with an offer to replace my car, but I think the offer is a slap in my face honestly. According to them I can replace my car with any GM car at MSRP and I would only get credit only on the amount I paid on mine. So if I wanted the exact same car I would have to come up with $30,000 more. They said because it was purchased “used” and I got a big discount on it even though the in service date stated the day I bought it. In any case who in there right mind buys GM cars at Msrp I wouldn’t even get any current rebates on a new one. I could just trade my car to any dealer and probably make out better. They did offer me $1500 to keep the car and go away. So at this point I’m a bit in awe with the lack of customer service with these guys. Btw car is back at the dealer with check engine lights flashing when I get on it and rough idle. I think it maybe time to lawyer up. They are just wasting time now.
