Default Porsche 997.2 911 TT ?'s

Anyone here have any experience with them? I am particularly wondering about the turbolag. My wife has a 535i and though people say there is no turbolag, I feel it easily.

Anyone who's driven a 997.2 911TT, your experience is what I'm interested in? I know there are a couple of people on this board who work at Porsche.

The particular on I"m interested in is the 6 speed mT convertible. Yes I know the PDK is a phenom, but paddleshift bores me.

Thanks.

The Murci is for sale. I realize that I want more of a daily drivable car with a convertible top and a 6mt.

Hmmmmm. my s2000 had that, but I like the idea of rear seats that my kids can fit in in the 911.

I think you'll love the 997TT. I've not driven it, but people who do own it and driven a Cayman S turbo said 997TT has a lot more low end torque and smoother delivery of power even though the CST can make as much power if not more than 997TT.

Check Planet-9.com?

Oh and my opinion is biased because I'm now in love with Porsche sports cars after over year of ownership with the Cayman S.

I've heard that there was a little less lag now that they are using VG turbos...

I think i'll go test drive one and find out.

That's a great idea. I want the Murci sold first before I get to excited and then find the car I want before I'm ready to buy.

If you test drive one though please supply a full report

After a big dinner of beans, broccoli and beer.

(No I won't quit my day job )

Anyway....

So you're looking a Vert specifically? Very nice.

I've ridden in the 997 V1.0 TT (2nd model year I believe) and while time ran out before I could drive it, as a passenger it felt very seamless, just a rapid, power ramp up, more NA-ish than turbo-esque.

I've been in a number of 996 platform turbo cars and the 997 was far less intrusive vs. the 996 in stock, X50 or aftermarket configuration (actually most aftermarket setups felt way worse than stock).
