Funny how dreams can change once you achieve it. I too would love to drive a Lamborghini as a daily but I can see why owners keep them in the garage more and drive a GT-R or a Porsche as a daily.

997 Turbo eh? And you think Lambos depreciate...

Exotic owners are awesome as they show you it is their smarts that keep them in their situation. Seeing Ferrari owners have big discussions / research on 911 Turbos at auction has taught me a lot. 996's can be had in the low 30's to the mid 60's. 997's anywhere from 60 k - 170k (brand new). Purchasing a brand new Porsche is something I'd only consider if I was 100% going to keep it forever (if I had the money).

Great cars, great daily drivers, AWD, etc, etc.

Gallardo spyder is still high on the list. I have really enjoyed the Murci and am glad I bought it. I want more of a DD now rather than a garage queen I take out once a month.
so Raj how do you get to work if the Lambo's only driven once a month?

I'm not one who needs a new car. I like letting others take the huge initial depreciation. If I got a TT it'd be a CPO most likely (6 year warranty FTW). I"m not 100%. A gallardo spyder is really high in the running. When I bought the Murci it came down to a G spyder, G superleggera, or a Murci. I chose the Murci because I've always dreamed about the big lambo with the Lambo doors. I have 0 regrets about buying it, but it's time for a change.

Rich, I daily drive the second car my wife and I ever bought on our own (the s2000 being the first). A 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer with 127000 miles. For my 2 mile commute and outdoor parking at work it's perfect.

Just hop on down to Beverly Hills Porsche. They will let you test drive just about anything you want with your qualifications. They are one of my best customers

Looking at the wrong car if you want rear seats...unless your kids don't own legs (no offence if they don't have legs - just stating a fact).

997 Turbo Series 2...its motor is incredible, coupled with a great Porsche chassis.

Turbo technology has come a long long way. If there was lag I didn't notice it, even if you put your foot down in a higher gear it'll build up steam quite comfortably. But then again you've been spoiled with V12 awesomeness so maybe it will feel sluggish. That's a big maybe though.

Give it a test drive.

Hmm, keeping with the Porsche theme, plus convertible...
What about a RUF 3800S?

Basically, a Boxster with a tuned 997S 3.8 engine.
380-ish hp. No turbo lag to worry about.

There is lag and yes you will feel it.

But there isn't another convertible (with rear seats, if you can call them seats) that will give you as much performance.
