It's all based on preference, Bugatti strives for luxury and technological advances for the Veyron while this Porsche GT1 strives perfection on the race track.

Both are similar in terms of power and top speed but differ in the type of potential buyer they are marketed for.

I belive the Bugatii is limited to 254 miles per hour. If they remove the limiter who knows what it will do.

at that price point, there is no difference in the type of buyer.....it just comes down to want.

neither will ever get driven, so performance is a moot point....

I agree. The buyer base for these cars is so small, and they're all going to have several other cars in their garage, that none of them is going to buy one car over the other for one reason over another. These things are toys, and will be lucky to see 10k miles of use in the first 10-20 years of their ownership.

sorry fellas, i think its ****ing amazing.

the bugatti is swell and all but this thing will kick the piss out of it. if it handles as well as the carrera gt, which i can only assume that it will surpass the carrera GT in handling, and it has the top end speed, then it will easliy beat better around a trcak than the bugatti.

but lets not get too far down this path. they are two totally different cars. i assure you this car will have none of the luxury features that the bugatti has. it will be surly and mean and it will shit fire and burst your ear drums.

why are we even comparing the two again?

two words. apples oranges

can they both go really fast up top? sure. does that make them comparable really?

i understand that the claim to fame of highest top speed is importnat in some ways but these cars are seriously so different.

Why are we comparing these?

Because one is challenging the other for top speed record.

It may not be justified, but it's the truth.
