Default Purchasing a DD (Infiniti Q50)

So I currently own a 2004 s2k and am in need of a daily driver with winter approaching / all the rain we keep getting here on the East Coast / and the dreadful consistent road work that has taken a toll on the exterior of the s2k .
After doing a good amount of research on sports sedans, I decided on the Q50; in particular, a 2015 Q50 AWD in either White or Graphite.

The reasoning for a 2015 Q50S (for those curious):
- Avoids any 2014 iTouch Issues
- Keeps the VQ engine (20+ years of reliability) instead of the new VR engine
- Keeps the hydraulic steering instead of DAS

While I wasn't even considering buying the car for a couple more months, a pretty attractive deal popped up.

Its a 2015 Q50S in Graphite Shadow
Interior is Stone w/Leather-Appointed Seats
1 owner (just came off of its 2015 lease)
Clean Carfax
36,423 miles

It has the following options:
- Splash guards
-All weather package
-Illuminated kickplates
-Navigation Package
-Spare tire package
-60/40 rear seat split
-tinted windows
50K MSRP

It's listed at $28,990 but I would ideally try to get it down to 26/27K?
Any thoughts or suggestions on negotiation?
Seem like a good deal?

I don't know why Infiniti gets so much flack, I find their cars to be relatively well made, designed nicely, and packs a lot of performance for the dollar. For the price oftentimes for its entry level competition you get an engine that's closer to the higher end. A lot of people find the vq rough but I'm with you, tried and true and imo has good character and has a much better sound than the BMW i6. Enjoy your new ride!

Honestly, I always felt Infiniti was the inferior of the Japanese luxury brands. This spring when I sold my turbo Subaru, I wanted something sporty with a hatch/wagon w/ awd for my winter/adventure vehicle. My gf finally talked me into one of my cars being an auto, and the world opened up. I drove an RDX, it was nice but hated the interior. Then, after some research I found out that the FX35 was built on the G35/350z chassis, so I drove a few. Then tried the smaller EX35. Excellent vehicles, and I fell in love with the interior, which was a big deciding factor. I now have a full loaded 08 EX35 beside my s2k and got it for a steal with low km. I have no idea why I used to think the way I did, but now I'm telling everyone to check out Infiniti. Great cars, solid engine, reliable, etc.

I love the newer ones, the lines on that Q50 are beautiful. Congrats!

its an outstanding car with a bullet proof engine / tranny.

whenever someone asks me for a good daily sedan with some power/ reliability, I always say infintiy - the value per $$ is outstanding, especially if you pick a nice variant like yours.
