Question about Tiptronic or auto/man trans.
Specifically for the Lexus IS300...
If you use the tiptronic, will it blip the throttle when you downshift? Does it revmatch?
or if you are braking and downshift will it jerk the car and take a while to get into gear?

Wife has an IS300 with the E-shift tranny (what you're referring to as Tiptronic).
It's a race car transmission, it'll rev-match/blip downshifts, sometimes it shoots fire out of the exhaust when it bounces on the rev limiter because it revs so fast, fastest shifting tranny EVAR.
Oh wait..........no it's a plain jane automatic. Same tranny as the older GS300, SC300, etc. No rev matching, nothing. It's a pretty slow tranny overall, smooth, but slow.
