Well I jumped the gun on updating the last thread so Ill make a new one. Instead of the 02' SSM (friend backed out) we went with a 2003 M5. 76K miles, carbon black on two tone silverstone/black. I've wanted one of these things since I was a kid and it certainly lives up to the hype. Gorgeous car in and out and tons of power. I am in love. Will post pics later on.

Heck yeah - great car. I want one every time I see one. Just something honestly good about those cars, compared to the newer M5s (they just don't do it for me).

I heard you have to give those regular italian tuneups, but even more extreme, like WOT as long as you can on the highway or something.

I'm sorry, officer, I was just trying to fight a carbon buildup issue in my secondary air system.

Yup, and the fuel pump along with clutch replacement number 3 is due soon. Now where did I put that lube?

Very nice! I was saving for a ISF but picking up a E39 M5 right now for around $17k is really tempting too. Remember to update us on the car as you get to know it more, & let me know how bad gas mileage is . My friend was getting around 12mpg city if I remember right
