I've lived in Golden for the past 10 years, and just recently visited Austin on my way to San Antonio. Strangely enough Austin felt a lot like downtown denver. Lots of stuff to do and a lot of happy people just enjoying the city. Golden is a bit different. It's smaller and more typically western style, but it's a wonderful place to live and play. You probably couldn't go wrong with either place, just stay away from Boulder! It looks nice on the outside, but inside it's filled with stupid college kids and hypocritical hippy soapboxers who think they own the place.

Curious, what is the name of the shop? I have owned 2 Z06's and have to disagree. While you may have considerable more power after 3,800 rpms, that does not mean there is not enough torque to get you in trouble below those rpms.

I didn't say it didn't have enough torque to get out of it's own way, it just didn't have the meaty immediate thrust like I expected. I figured in 1st and 2nd if I mash the gas off idle it would spin the rear wheels into a cloud of smoke immediately which it didn't (TC didn't even activate). Compared to turbo cars like my GT-R or tuned 335i which easily get moving at 2,000 RPM you had to somewhat rev out the Z06 to make it haul ass. Once you get above 4K it goes from mild to very wild. The car I drove was not tuned. I'm told the powerband starts to improve at about 3,500 with a tune.

The shop fields an ALMS, a Rolex GT and countless street cars so I believe him. It's LG Motorsports.

that car looks familar... mine was pretty damn fast in a straight line.... on the stock runflats and stock alignment my car didn't really handle super well....i think we timed mine from 0-150 in a good bit under 19 seconds... and i could hit 170mph (top of 4th gear) lots of places around me... i did hit an indicated 193mph on thanksgiving 4 years ago on I81..
