Default Reuniting my S2000 and NSX with a New Lift

I moved my family to a house WITHOUT a garage last year. I had to put some cars in storage while we went through the lengthy process of building a garage. We chose to build a carriage house with an extra-tall first story so we could install a two-car lift. I have documented the entire carriage house build here on Garage Journal: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/...d.php?t=368982

It's really a relief to have almost all of the cars united again!! Before my carriage house / lift was complete, I had to go to various storage sites around town to see the cars.

After a LOT of searching for the most appropriate lift for me, I called Wildfire. I was impressed with both their quality and their reputation for service. I found out they were not producing a 2-car lift, but told me they were considering it. I STRONGLY encouraged them to look into producing one. It took some time, but it was worth the wait. It's a great lift, and it came with many accessories that others charged more for. The engineering and workmanship are superb. It sits 6' 5" high as I have it currently (it can go up to 6' 9"), so my wife and daughter can park under it and walk around without feeling cramped. Here is a link to a review I wrote if you are interested: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/...d.php?t=389044

Pics of house??

I worked on designing a lift system like this once. Is it hydraulic or ball screw? I'm guessing it had a mechanical pawl locking system every x inches?

It's hydraulic; just a 110 motor and one (big) piston.

Here are a couple of links with more details about the lift itself:

1) My review of the lift on GarageJournal: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/...d.php?t=389044

2) The Wildfire web site. They just added the lift to their site, using the photos from my build: 4 Post Car Lifts Safest, Highest Quality On The Market Four Post

Here is a pic of the house from the front. You can see how narrow the lot is:

Very cool. Not to sound like a creepy stalker, but can you post a shot (or PM me) of how the garage door tracks are laid out? We have a garage with a 10 foot ceiling and I kind of wonder what is possible with a lift. Is yours higher than ten feet?

I think I could make a lift work, but I would have to find different garage door tracks that lift the door higher, but not that far back or inward towards the back wall if you know what I mean. I am curious to the travel of the door when lifted because my tracks as they are would interfere with any lift, but they hang four to five feet from the ceiling.

Very nice setup though. Looks Awesome.
