When I drove one I found it to be an ok car with ok handling but nothing special. Make that nothing special except for being extra tight inside for the 375 pound salesman that rode with me and a drivers seat that hurt my back.

I do however like the "dog taking a dump" looks and the conv. looks very nice to me. I'll let someone else buy them, I don't want one.

seems the Z06 and the C6 both are better (far better) cars for that kind of money.
Few people looking at a Crossfire will cross-shop a Corvette, and vice versa -- the Crossfire's aimed at the luxury coupe market, while the Corvette is aimed at sports car buyers. The Crossfire's competition is more like the aforementioned M3, the SLK (not the brightest move on Daimler Chrysler's part), the TT, etc. I can see the car appealing to the TT buyer who wants more power. I would never buy one, but I'm not in the target demographic, nor are most of the people here.

It's disappointing that, on what is ostensibly a car enthusiast's board, the most informed comment most people can muster is a crude comparison to a dog.

Chrysler is very lucky to have such a success in the 300. With the Pacifica and Crossfire sputtering along, they were probably wondering when the torture would stop.

I saw the review with Tommy Kendall on Speed channel for the SRT-6 version of the Crossfire and it was quite favorable and the numbers I've seen on it make it quite competitive with the E46 M3. I would be truly surprised if that is true but I think I might go drive one.
That was a Chrysler infomercial you saw on Speed. The Crossfire is a pile and the sales figure reflects that. People who wanted a hairdresser car had already bought one when it was called the SLK.

The steering rack in this car rivals the Cavalier in the lack of feedback department.

Yeah, why has the world gone to hell? I am sick of these infomercial SPEED shows that they try and masquerade as real car reviews. I stopped watching TechTV a year or so ago the first time I saw their Best Buy infomercial crap. I had been suspecting they were doing this for some time but that was the obvious deal sealer for me. Everything is product placement now and very obvious. They do it in sitcoms, reality shows, sports, everything. I figure the news is next.

The other bad thing about this car is when people get the wrong impression of it, when I had my Subaru WRX, one of these old guys at work was like "yeah I saw that new crossfire that thing looks like it should go fast and it handles well blah blah blah" I would say no, it doesn't and my subaru could out perform it, and he just rolled his eyes......ahhhh stupid people.
