Agreed. I've seen the Z06 at 3.4s 0-60 and 11.7 in the 1/4 mile (both would've been fastest).

That said, it's usually fairest to test at the same time on the same day. I've seen faster numbers for quite a few of those cars (except the Gallardo, which was very quick) as well, so I think it mostly played out about right.

What do you mean?

The Z06 was meant to devour straights and take corners. It's a very complete package. It was meant to be a world-beating car (and it is, in most cases) that can take a pounding.

One thing I will bet is that the Z06 would lap the longest without self destructing. I don't think the F430 or Gallardo would take the pounding as long as the Z06 would.

Sure it comes at a slight discount, but the maintenance will break the bank. I always hear stories of the clutch going out rather quickly and I would hate to see the cost of replacing the clutch on a Gallardo.
Maintenance on a Gallardo far worse than an F430? I'll be the first to admit I have no experience but I don't see how. Both are quite high strung. A Gallardo is going to be hard on the clutch due to AWD but Ferrari isn't exactly known for making cars that can handle a beating like that either.

If you aren't launching the Gallardo at every light, I imagine it'll be fine. Problem is, most people are using them exactly that way - hard, fast driving every time they take them out (once a week)...

I agree on one thing, though - clutch replacement is probably $10K or more.

Interesting, since you rank them according to price as well.

I think I'd actually take a Ford GT over a 997TT, unless I was driving it daily. The Ford is pretty much as quick, it's faster, and it looks better and is way more exclusive.

I'd also take the Z06 over the Viper. Viper tends to be more exclusive and look a little more muscular, but the Z06 looks very menacing in black and it's faster, more civilized, and I'll bet more reliable too.

F430>Gallardo>GT>997TT>Z06>Viper for me

EDIT: I guess the GT actually costs more than the 997TT, so you didn't quite rank them according to price.
