Our lovely daughter has a 2005 RSX. My husband was just changing the oil on it and he noticed that if you get down at the front wheels, you can see all the way across to the other side. Is something missing? Did someone steal some panels that would stop water from entering the engine compartment?

Patty, I have an '05 Type S. I'm not sure what you're looking at, but if you look behind the strut you can see to the other side. Other than that, the fender skirt had things pretty well buttoned up. Maybe you could post a pic and we can compare.

I noticed that too on my 2002 RSX and was alarmed at first, but many RSX owners said not to worry about it. I had no problems with driving in the rain.

Welcome to the rsx front end. The rsx because of the front mcpherson strut suspension looks like that. You can see from one side of the back of the engine to another. this is completely normal.
