Default S2k to NSX

I'm thinking about going from an S2k to an NSX in a few years. Quick question for anybody with experience with the two cars...how does it FEEL driving the NSX compared to the S2k? I don't care about the stats or empirical evidence- I know all of that.

What I want to know is, when you drive the NSX, can you tell you're in a much nicer, quicker car? For example, i had a '99 Prelude before the S2k. Driving the S2k, you can just tell it's much nicer and quicker compared to the Prelude. Does the same hold for the NSX compared to the S2k?

Thanks.

P.S. I've lusted after the NSX forever!!

save your pennies and wait for the new one...as good as the old one is, it looks like a early late 80s/early 90s car and always will, plus it's underpowered

That's not a serious question, now is it...?

Some real world considerations:

FR vs MR (read about snap oversteer -- not that the NA1 is prone to it, but it is an MR
and lifting at speed in mid-corner may make you see Jesus/Allah/Whoever a whole lot sooner than you thought
)

More insurance cost? (depends on you situation, but an NA1 > AP1 in terms of cost)

Parts availability and cost? See how much things like rotors, tires, clutches, and whatnot cost for an NSX.

Repair cost/Ease of Maintenance. Imagine getting any body repairs done to an NSX (all Aluminum). Also imagine trying to work on a Mid-engined car with a cramped engine compartment versus the engine in a Front-engined car with a relatively huge engine bay.

Prestige aka "Borat's P*ssy Magnet" factor. Yeah the NA1 will pwn tha AP1 in this category, but if that's all you want out of the car please do us a favor and don't try to fool us or yourself that anything else really matters LOL!

Haterade factor. The AP1 is a really nice car, but not as nice as the NA1... people will like the AP1 (hell they still may "hate" on it and you) but the NA1 has soo much more "look at me" that it will attract haters and sh*t-talkers.

Just because the styling is newer doesn't mean it looks better for everyone

And how much will the new one be? The NSX is not underpowered compared to the S2000, and it's still plenty quick: 0-150mph quicker than a C5. As for the feel, it's best to experience it first-hand. Go test-drive one!

well, that's isn't much of a standard, you may as well compare to a Yaris

Power this and power that. Why is it the first thing people look at with cars is power (or how "fast" is it)?

The first thing I'd look at is my own skill level. Most of us cannot drive a bone stock AP1 at 10/10ths let alone an NA1. LOL!

Well, if one can enjoy the S as much as most of us do, what makes you think a more powerful, more enjoyable, more precise car won't satisfy?

I've really got nothing against the NSX except the batmobile aesthetics...go for it
