Today was my lucky day. Was at a friend's house and his neighbor was there, he asked me about my car and soon enough brought up the fact that he had a '93 NSX Formula Red (we're blood brothers ) in his garage. As he was leaving he asked me if I wanted a ride, I said "YES". As he pulls out, he gets out the car and says "Here you drive". I couldn't contain my excitement....all I could think was OMG.
I get a feel of it in the neighborhood, it was so different driving something w/o power steering and such a stiff clutch, I'm so used to the S. But even at low speeds in the neighborhood I could feel how neutral the steering was and it was like the car begged to turn. Steering feed back was of course much better than the S.
When I get on the road, He tells me to punch it and of course, without hesitation I oblige The car pulllllls at all RPMS, however the Vtec cross-over wasn't as pronounced as the S. Two redline shifts later, I was in heaven.....the sound of a screaming V6 (he had a comptech exhaust) is AMAZING. It was def an awesome experience.

I have fallen in and out of love with the NSX and S2000 multiple times. I've sat in many and though my experience driving both has been limited I'm glad I have not made the plunge to buy one (came down close to buying either multiple times). I'm not saying they aren't great cars but I think I can safely say I am happier with my current choice.
One day will I own one? I'm starting to think no. At a certain point I realized that no matter how much those cars get my blood pumping before I can't justify getting one when there are so many other great choices at that price range. I don't think in 20 years I would even care any more about owning an NSX or S2000. Maybe all cars available now will feel obsolete.
For those of you that still have a dream car, I envy you. Keep dreaming and I can only imagine how happy you'd be when it comes true. My time has come and passed. I'm now extremely bitter that I can't appreciate those cars as I once did when I was younger. I miss getting the jitters every time your favorite car drives by...
