8:26 --- 146.561 km/h -- Nissan 350Z, 280 hp/1526 kg (sport auto 10/2003)
8:39 --- 142.890 km/h -- Honda S2000, 240 hp/1275 kg (sport auto 01/2000)
This is probably from the same spreadsheet the original poster got his information from. Sport Auto is a European magazine I believe. The editor (and driver) is Horst von Saurma.
Yes, as stated before, 99% of the equation is dependent on driver skills. Having said that...given equal drivers, and equal conditions -- on the Ring, the S2k will be slower. Whether it's by 13secs or 1 secs, it should be faster. Our car has a huge aerodynamic handicap from the short wheelbase, lack of a roof, rake of the windshield, lack of undertray aero management.
But that's okay -- I like the S2k exactly the way it is

I see a lot of people saying "driver" but do you really think the S2K is faster around the old Nurburgring (same driver skill, same conditions)? I've played plenty of 'Ring simulations and I can see where the 350Z's extra weight could be more than offset by HP and cd (and perhaps more forgiving handling).

I have driven the Nordschleife several times on visits to Germany for the F1 races. My wife was even cool enough to write down course notes when we did many laps in the "ring taxis" including a few with Sabine behind the wheel. Now having owned my Honda for a few years the difference in times at that track seems reasonable. Each car has it's plusses and minuses. That track is better suited to the Z.

this POS had 0.29 cx. an was able to run with only one front wheel and the rear wheels. It cost $12.000. car witw low cx is not new. since cars are so powerful the cx factor is not so important.
