S600 auction
Found this today and thought some may have interest. I have zero connection with the collection, RM auctions, etc.
http://microcarmuseum.com/tour/honda-s600.html Being auctioned in feb 2013, hour outside Georgia at the Microcars collection. 1965 Honda S600 Honda began to branch out into cars with the launch of the "S" series in 1963. Having more than 1 carburetor made the car a "Sports" model, but the initial car, the S-360 was underpowered even with 4 carburetors and it was soon replaced with the S-500. Even this model at 531cc was not enough and 3 months after it was introduced, it was replaced with the 606cc Honda S-600 The S-600 was available as a convertible and a fastback coupe and was Honda's first "mass marketed" car. It was also the first Honda available in two "trim" levels: standard and a special "upgraded" package called the SM600 which included special paint, badging and quick release of the passenger seat among other options. It was first offered with only Right Hand Steering, but Left Hand Steering was quickly made available for the Export Market. 11,284 convertibles were built between 1964 and 1966 Manufacturer: Honda Motor Company, Japan |
Nice find and beautiful example.https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/public/st...t/thumbsup.gif

I just returned from the Microcar Museum. It was a great trip but the S600 was nowhere to be found. I was quite disappointed. Still if you not too far away it's worth the trip before it closes.
