The beginning two/three minutes seems like a attempt at being like Top Gear.

yeah true, almost like doing a challenge.... I just couldn't stop laughing when the cop said "well its your lucky day" when the corvette flew by

This really makes you appreciate the nuanced delivery of Top Gear and how hard it is to duplicate. These guys aren't very entertaining, and everything does look staged.
