I'm confused at the comparison of Top Gear to this Youtube clip. The Top Gear show I have seen is meant to inform......this is merely some guys trying to make you laugh.

Yes, the fact that Top Gear s/b viewed for entertainment purposes only...I get very little useful info out of that show.
I like the Smoking Tire. It's entertainment first and foremost, but the host doesn't try to entertain by knocking the cars for the sake of knocking them. Unlike that other show.
It's easy to be funny by making fun. To me it's far more entertaining to watch people appreciate what these cars have to offer rather than knock them for not being something else.
