sold a S and got a G35 coupe....
after year and half of my S ownership... i realized my car was getting old(it was 2000 model) with high miles(57000 miles)
i really liked the car...... S2000 was the first car that i actually said to myself "damn this car is amazing" whenever i take it out for spin.......
anyway since car was getting old and didnt wanna face all those problems.... i considered selling my S for another S...(ap2)
i do a lot of long distance trip and only concern was that high rev engine which makes RPM sits on 5000 rpm going 90mph.......so i decided to compromise the fun for the comfort.... and got myself a G35 coupe 6MT.....
my thoughts on G35...
it feels very heavy compare to S, corners like a boat, but torque is there whenever i need it ......all these luxury features are fun to play with....(especially the navigation)
love the styling of G35
over all it is typical luxury car with sport car gene in it.... it doesnt compare to true sports car like s2000
do i regret buying G35 coupe??? not so far i like this car in daily commuting but i do miss s2k once in awhile hitting 9000 redline and corner going 50mph
i wish this would help to those who are considering to sell their S for the G35coupe....lately i saw many people selling the S for G....

G35 are very nice, love the exterior of the car. It's more of a bit luxury sport car and I wouldn't mind owning one myself. Since I can't have the luxury of owning two, I went with the S2K. But regardless, going from 00' S to 03 G35 is not bad choice at all. Now if you were to go with 02' S+ to a G35 than that's You'll miss the S, I gurantee it

Good luck with it. Those are sharp looking cars and a little TQ never hurt anyone.
What's the story with the other G35c (in your sig) you sold after 4 days?

I agree the G35 is a boat. How can that car weigh 3600lbs???
the S2000 is way more fun.

Welcome to the club. I went the other way, adding the S2K to my G35c. On a hot/rainy day or traveling long distances, you'll truly appreciate the G35's refinement and comfort. I've also had the car out at the track, and can tell you that it handles much better than one has a right to expect from a 3,500 lbs car. The two cars definitely have different personalities. One is a scalpel while the other is a hunting knife; different tools for different purposes. Both are very effective at what they do.
