Am I crazy for believing that being able to "lay tire" is a failure for a small, light roadster? Wouldn't that indicate that the car is either too heavy, or wearing some kind of crappy all season tires?
Hell, I was able to do burnouts in a 95 Saturn SL1 10 years ago, and that car had 100 hp! The reason? Crappy tires. Braking in that car was fun with no ABS, let me tell you.

The Solstice/Sky are going to be great cars and I can't wait to smoke them at the roadcourses in and around DFW. What I'm waiting for is the Turbo Solstice and Sky. That might make it a bit more interesting.
As far as styling, the S2000 has a more classic style, but the Solstice and Sky are going to be headturners on the streets. As I predicted earlier, they are not going to have a problem moving 20k/year.

I don't understand why every person on this thread has to start dumping on a car that isn't even out yet. So there is another roadster coming out. And the people on the forum have been waiting for it with enthusiasm. What's wrong with that?
The roadster experience is not just about straightline speed, as people here have no trouble arguing when comparing the S2000 to faster cars. And yet the same forum whos members get deeply and personally offended whenever someone writes a bad word about our beloved S2000 on another forum is right here bashing a car that isn't even for sale yet.
Face it people- there are 2 brand new roadsters out in 2006. Whether or not they can beat an S2000 on a drag strip or road course, for a while at least they are going to generate more excitement and press than a car that has barely changed going into its seventh year.

Haha, that's a pretty funny forum.
I highly doubt that the Solshit would be faster than an S around a road course, but you never know. Maybe whoever drove the S thought it redlined at 5k like their cars
Does it come with an LSD base?

I am fine with someone ripping the what this supposed "comparison test" test showed. Looks like a decent car to me, but lets be honest, with its power to weight ratio it is not going to be the Lotus Elise some of posters on the link are making it out to be.
Fun nice car? Probably. Competitor in the roadster market? For sure. World beater? Doubtful, at least not in the NA form.
