If anyone saw the video, the giant fat lady (or man with boobs?) was brought along to stand next to the car to make it look smaller than a full-size sedan.

I hope those aren't the real headlights/ taillights. They look awful.

Great, not only is it too big (and presumably heavy), it's going to be a shared platform with the 1, so it, too will remain too BIG and HEAVY.

We are suppose to go smaller, lighter and drink less gas. WTF. We already have living room on wheels like suvs and huge sedans.

Worse yet is if the next gen 1 is indeed based on the 3 platform... there goes any hope of a size (and more importantly weight appropriate) small BMW. Do whatever you want to the 3, just give me a 1 that is spiritual successor of what the 3 was 20 years ago.

Keep in mind that these cars will be offered in 4cylinders in the U.S. They wont be as heavy as you think. I promise. ;-)
