Stolen Honda returned, with "upgrades"
#22
Years ago I had a co-worker that had a '55 Chevy pick-up that was stolen three times and recovered with improvements every time. As I recall once it gained headers and exhaust, once seat covers and a gun rack, and once new wheels and tires. The owner was hoping for a fourth theft to get an engine rebuild.

My question is, didn't she get an insurance payout when the car was written off? How long before the insurance company comes asking for its money back? I'm also skeptical of the upgrades, since I doubt she bought the car for speed in the first place, and now it is a high-profile target in an area known for theft activity.
If your car is stolen, you're usually better off not getting it back.

Installing a "Vtec Motor" and bigger tires makes it a drag racing car?
